Infinity cross: enhanced gear durability

advances in the design and manufacturing of gear teeth improve the contact area between the drive gear and pinion gear, resulting in a wider range of load distribution. this helps prevent intensive damage and achieves approximately double the durability of conventional designs.

improved gear durability helps maintain a smooth and powerful retrieve over a long period of time.

based on shimano’s standard gear endurance test, comparing the amount of wear on the surface of the drive gear under a specified load, the previous stradic gear surface shows visible wear, while the new stradic drive gear surface is virtually unworn under the same conditions.

Infinity drive: powerful, light winding

the traditional x-ship structure, known for light winding, has evolved into a more powerful system. the main shaft, supported by the pinion gear, is now supported by a special low-friction bushing that greatly reduces sliding resistance.

in addition, the main shaft receives special surface treatment and processing to reduce rotational torque significantly. this evolution results in a reel that can be wound aggressively even under heavy loads.

Anti-twist fins: reduced line trouble

elastic body fins are installed close to the line roller. by reducing line slack, they help minimize line dropping and the phenomenon of the line catching on the spool, especially when the line is wet. this contributes to more comfortable and reliable casting and retrieval.

Duracrosse: abrasion-resistant drag performance

duracrosse is a new drag washer made from newly developed materials. the material is reinforced by weaving new fibers in a straight pattern, unlike traditional drag washers.

this structure achieves smooth drag performance while increasing abrasion resistance by more than ten times, based on internal comparison tests.
